Baby Eczema Treatment
Baby eczema treatment is one of very challenging skin disorders for Traditional Chinese medicine too. To find the best solutions for baby eczema treatment, our predecessors of Chinese medicine had been testing which herb formula work best in our body for thousands of years.
All these experiments, of course, were carried on real human being, which really made it the invaluable experiences in baby eczema treatment.
Baby eczema treatment and Professor Zhao Bing Nan
Our predecessors of Chinese medicine have accumulated tons of experience in baby eczema treatment. Professor Zhao Bing Nan was one of them. As a matter of fact, in modern Chinese medicine, the name of Zhao Bing Nan is always associated with eczema treatment. In the field of Chinese medicine, when it comes to eczema treatment, the first name that comes to our mind is Zhao Bing Nan.
Skin disorders experience from Professor Zhao Bing Nan
He was always said to his students during his lifetime:
“As a dermatologist, we must bear in mind that although skin disorders are shaped in exterior, most of the time the root of them comes from interior.”
Therefore, he attached great emphasis to the syndrome differentiation for Zang-Fu viscera. There are so many factors can trigger skin disorders, in which he paid particular attention to the pathogenic dampness and pathogenic heat. In his view, removing dampness is the foundation for a variety of skin disorders treatment, while clearing heat is the key for a variety of skin disorders treatment.
Eczema treatment experience from Professor Zhao Bing Nan
Professor Zhao Bing Nan also said very often that:
“A doctor who is good at eczema treatment is able to treat half skin disorders.”
What he said sounds a little bit exaggerated, but if you think it hard twice, you can learn a lot about skin disorders treatment from it.
Eczema, by their nature, divides into acute phase, sub-acute phase and chronic phase. The former two phases are more obvious with presentation of dampness clinically. The pathogenesis of eczema is nothing more than dampness-heat stagnation, dampness overwhelming heat, or heat overwhelming dampness.
During clinical treatments, he got used to adopting Chu Shi Wei Ling Tang, and cutting or adding drugs in accordance with the relative severity of dampness and heat. Even in the chronic phase of eczema treatment, a series of dry presentations in skin occur, such as dryness, roughness, hypertrophy, and hyperkeratosis etc., rather than blisters, exudation, and erosion etc., the method of removing dampness still need to be insisted.
In this regard, he ever said:
“It is due to the characteristic features of turbidness and stickiness for pathogenic dampness, therefore, the enduring pathological process, dampness stagnation, heat transformation and skin malnutrition are the key factors for chronic hypertrophic skin disorders. Therefore, the eczema treatment should still base on the theory of removing dampness. “
In his eczema treatment experiences, the most used method was strengthening the spleen for removing dampness. He specialized at the herbs such as Yi Yi Ren, Yun Ling Pi, Bian Dou, Cang Zhu, and Bai Zhu etc. He also believes that using those herbs of strengthening the spleen for removing dampness has no contradiction with the principle of strengthening vital Qi to eliminate pathogenic factors.
Of course, he also believe that those herbs of inducing diuresis should be used along too when necessary. Therefore, Che Qian Zi, Zhu Ling, Fang Ji, Ze Xie, and Bei Xie are used very often as well.
