Acne treatment and Ge Geng Tang
Ge Geng Tang is a very famous formula, which originated from Shang Han Lun. Regularly Ge Geng Tang is used to treat exterior signs and symptoms, such as influenza, pneumonia, bronchitis and chronic shoulder pain etc. But sometimes it can also serve to acne treatment. Composition of Ge Geng Tang
Radix Puerariae ( ge gen )…12-30g
Ramulus Cinnamomi ( gui zhi )……10-20g
Radix Paeoniae Alba ( bai shao )……10-20g
Radix Glycyrrhizae ( gan cao)……3-10g
Rhizoma Zingiberis Recens ( sheng jiang )…..10-30g (3 slices)
Fructus Jujubae ( da zao )……15-30g (10-15 pcs)
Herbal Ephedrae (ma huang)……5-12g
Applications
(1). These pimples are deep under the surface of the skin, dim, found on face and back, especially on back.
(2).The physical clinical manifestation: Dim complexion, tight muscles, large build, floating tight pulse, acne relieve after sweating for work out, conditions improve during summer, female usually with scant menses, long period or amenorrhea.

Better with RHIZOMA CHUANXIONG (Chuanxiong)
PS: Be careful not to overdose Herbal Ephedrae (ma huang), which can cause possible side effects such as irregular or rapid heart rhythms; high blood pressure; restlessness; nervousness; sleeping problems etc.. But its side effect would be reduced tremendously after decocting for prolonged time or added with Radix Glycyrrhizae ( gan cao), Fructus Jujubae ( da zao ) and Ramulus Cinnamomi ( gui zhi ).
